I taught a shadowbox workshop at a Scripps alumnae event this June.
Three hours is barely enough time to set up the first layer of collage elements and let the glue dry. But the ultimate object of the class was to have fun, so for demonstration purposes I concentrated on the outside of my box.
When I returned home I had more time to work on the inside of the box. I stained tea bag tags and the fortunes from fortune cookies in strong-brewed tea. I created my dancing garden muse and sun out of clay.
