I suppose this is a prime example of the chaos in my brain. At first I'd intended to do quick drawings (silly me) experimenting with rough ideas I'd gleaned from researching the Goddess Project. I'm interested in how many cultures use the image of a garden or tree in their cosmology. And then there's water — the Mesopotamian universe existed on three plains; the waters above, the fertile land between and the waters below.
As I'm drawing the poem and images begin taking shape.
Ach! Some of my research (yet another project --- my brain is quite busy lately) on Hildegard von Bingen brings images into the mix. And that made me think of the four winds of the cardinal directions (North, south, east, west), which lead to the beautiful compas rose images on antique maps.
